After breakfast drive
to Baroda enroute visiting Champaner fort of Pawagadh
built in 15 th century by the Sultan of Ahmedabad Mehmud
Begadha. Nagina and Jami mosques are the most beautiful
speciman of indo saracenic architecture. On arrival
in Baroda, check in at hotel. Later visit the museums
in Baroda – one of the princely state of Gujarat
ruled by Maratha Gaekwad is now an important industrial
city with many pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals and fertilizers
plants.
Day 04: Baroda
– Ahmedabad
After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad enroute visiting
Vaso village famous for its intricated wooden carved
Havelies of 18 th Cent. On arrival, check in at hotel.
After breakfast visit one of the finest textile museum
of the world. Calico museum has the finest collections
of various types and kinds of textiles from all over
the world right from the 17 th cent.to 19 th cent. Later
visit the Gandhi ashram
Day 05: Ahmedabad
– Poshina - Darbargadh
After an early breakfast city tour of Ahmedabad wherein
you will see the fascinating poles of Old city with
beautiful wooden carved houses and one of the most colourful
temple of city. Swaminarayan temple built in late 19
th century. Also visit of Jami mosque and market. After
lunch drive to Darbargadh enroute visiting Poshina.
On arrival in Darbargadh, check in at hotel.
Day 06: In
Darbargadh
After breakfast visit of tribal villages around Poshina.
It is a centre to see Garacia tribals and also Rajasthani
rabaries can be seen near Ambaji. An important Hindu
pilgrimage centre of mother Goddess Ambaji. After lunch,
visit tribal villages located in the aravalli hills.
Day 07: Darbargadh
– Patan – Modhera – Zainabad
After breakfast drive to Zainabad enroute visiting Patan
and Modhera. Anhilwad Patan was the capital of Gujarat
and is famous for its patola saree. It has also one
of the largest stepwell of Gujarat called Rani ki vav
built in early 11 AD. Later proceed to Modhera to visit
Sun temple built in early 11 AD by Bhimdev Solanki the
king of Gujarat. After lunch at Modhera drive to Zainabad
and check in at hotel.
Day 08: In Zainabad
After breakfast take safari in little rann of Kutch
to see the asiatic wild asses and around 275 various
species of birds. You also have opportunity to experience
Bajara tribes, the cattle breeders. After lunchdrive
to the little rann of Kutch for another viewing.
Day 09: Zainabad
– Bhuj
After breakfast drive to Bhuj. At present district headquarter
of Kutch and transit point to make a day excursion to
different craft villages towards north and south. Particularly
banni villages famous for its beautiful embroideries
and colourful traditional culture. Upon arrival checkin
at hotel and proceed to procure the permit to visit
Banni village.
Day 10: Bhuj
– Banni Village –Bhuj
Full day excursion to the Banni villages. Banni villages
in the kutch area are riots of colours. Bhirandiyara/Dhordo/Gorevali/Hodka/Sumrasar
and Nirona are major tribes. Each Village has its own
identity of craft and embroidery.
Day 11: Bhuj
– Mandvi – Mundra – Bhuj
After breakfast excursion to Mandvi and Mundra to see
some more varieties in embroideries and woolen crafts.
One can also visit shipbuilding port of Mandvi. After
lunch, have a live demonstration of tie and dye in Bhuj
and later visit woolen weavers village called Bhujodi.
Day 12: Bhuj
– Mumbai – Depart
Morning at leisure and later transfer to airport to
connect flight to Bombay.
